My first GPIO project - Servo controlled chamber vent for the Core ONE
Hi,
just thought I drop a link here to my first project using the GPIO board. Took me a while to figure out what I wanted to use it for.
Think I came up with a pretty good solution to automate the chamber vents on top of the core one. Its a pretty simple solution and I know I somehow could have used the GPIO board to control the Servo directly but I like how simple it is now in terms of just a handful of gcode lines.
Anyway heres the link to the project on printables. If you have questions or have any ideas to improve it please let me know.

That's a neat solution -- very cleanly integrated! I like the magnetic coupling too, so you can still remove the lid quite easily.
Personally, I was too cheap for the GPIO board and servo. Once I realized that I already had an actuator I could control -- namely the print head -- I designed this passive solution which lets the Nextruder push the vent: Core One Automatic Chamber Vent. Works pretty well too!
