Stringing

I use a MK4 with either a 0.25 or a 0.4 nozzle and primarily Jessie PETG. By altering filament overrides values I have reduced stringing artifacts somewhat, but stringing still exists.

I am on a quest to find the ideal combination of PrusaSlicer settings/overrides that will eliminate string. In Printables I see LOTS of photos/models that seemingly had no stringing artifacts.

What combination of PrusaSlicer settings do you use to eliminate stringing with Jessie PETG ?

Not interested in a discussion on stringing, as I have read the PrusaSlicer documentation, but it does not proved specific values that will eliminate stringing.

RE: Stringing

I almost exclusively use petg. The Prusament PETG stock settings leave almost no strings for me.

Your filament has to be dry.  PETG will absorb moisture and will increase stringing.  I recommend printing directly from a drybox.

RE: Stringing

Never used Jessie's but look at those photos with a grain of salt. I'm sure most people do what I do, clean up my models before I take pictures, at least give them a swipe with the heat gun.

And as Brian said, drying filament usually gives me more bang for the buck than fiddling with settings.

RE: Stringing

Filament is stored in dryboxes with desiccant, storage humidity is less than 12%.

Relative humidity here in Boise is less than 20% most days.  I do not think humidity is a contributing factor to stringing.
