[Solved] PETG build-up on nozzle
Hello. I just wanted to share my findings in case it helps anyone else in the future.
I've had a problem with PETG slowly creeping up on the nozzle, causing a blob which in turn causes stringing and big blob to fall off from the nozzle. Both on brass and Obxidian.
Long story short, I lowered the extrusion multiplier from 1.00 to 0.99, and I raised the z-offset by 0.05 mm. No noticeable consequence in print quality. I originally tried increasing the fan speed to 25%, even on the first layer, which helped slow the build-up but didn't stop it completely. But doing said things with the extrusion multiplier and z-offset was enough to counter the build-up, no fan needed.
RE: [Solved] PETG build-up on nozzle
I have the same build-up issue printing Prusament PETG on my MK4S, and it seems to work much better using your settings.
Thank you!
