resuming a print question

I was printing a storage bin and the hot end got plugged. By the time I got to the printer and stopped the print it was past where the filament stopped coming out.

Is there a way to resume the print there or do I have to start from the beginning?

RE: resuming a print question

In theory you could figure out exactly which layer it stopped at, hack the gcode to delete the already-printed instructions, and resume.  Practically, this is nearly impossible so you need to start from the beginning.

Resuming prints is for things like power outages/resets (I've had a couple) and that works well.

thanks for the info. I kind of suspected you couldn't without messing with the Gcode which I have no desire to attempt.
