MultiMaterial printing swaping correct materials

hello

I'm printing myself a one piece phone case and using 7 different colours within it, i was wondering if there was any way for the printer to say which extruder/material it wants. at the moment i have to follow the print along with the slicer to know which material goes next. I'm not sure how to add the gcode file here but can add screen shots

any help would be greatly appreciated

thank you

RE:

are you using Palette3?

Save the Model in Prusa slicer, as a Project file.
then zip compress the project file then you can attach the ZIP File to the next forum post

Someone posted some custom GCode that will improve the filament swap, and show the next color to be loaded on the display.  You can find the post here: https://forum.prusa3d.com/forum/prusaslicer/manual-multicolor/paged/6/#post-673676

I haven't tried this yet myself, I don't do much multicolor printing.
