Layershift on Prusa MK4: Typical cause and solution?

Hey! Today I noticed layershift in my prints (Picture 1, 3). Also many prints failed quite often in the past, which ended in spaghetti disasters(Picture 2; this is a recreated scenario). I thought it was due to adhesion problems but the part sticks very well to the bed and didn't move during print. Both models are printed with the same gCode, I only changed speed(Picture 1 = 50%), (Picture 2 = 100%) manually in the printing options on my MK4. But in my perception I don't think this has something to do with that.

What are typical causes and solutions?

  • Firmware: 6.0.4
  • Prusa Slicer 2.8.1
  • Normally printing with PETG at 85°C Bed and 230°C Nozzle on Satin Sheet
  • Print profile: Prusa MK4 Input Shaper 0.4 nozzle

The layershift isn't visivle in the preview and also I noticed that the parts on the bed are too close to another compared to the positioning in PrusaSlicer (Picture 3). The MK4 was assembled by myself, pullys on y-Axis and x-Axis are not loose. Both belts are tuned with the PrusaBeltTuner.

I also think it is a bit strange that I have a shift on both axsis.

Thank you for your help!

Raise your nozzle temp.  230 is to low for PETG and Inputshaping.  The speeds for infill are higher than perimeters and therefore often underextrudes.

Try 240 for the nozzle.
