X axis belt "twisting"
Hi,
Sadly I'm unable to find something on this kind of problem, so I need your help. The problem is that the upper part of the X axis belt is not parallel to the lower part of the belt on the motor side... well it's kinda hard to explain it with word so a photo.
I think the screw on the upper part is the culprit, and as you can see it's begining to "cut" the belt.
To add infos, it's a kit MK4, Ive followed the steps as best as I could but I may have made a mistake ( donnu . . . ). When I move the belt in it's proper position it go twisting instantly if the extruder move on the axis.
Alex.
RE: X axis belt "twisting"
The most common error is the toothed pulley on the X| Motor shaft being bac to front
this is how it should be mounted
which is unusual, because most people expect the retaining boss, to be nearer the motor

RE: X axis belt "twisting"
that screw is the X axis smooth rod buffer, it should not be long enough to go into the Belt tunnel!

RE: X axis belt "twisting"
Ok well ... I'm ashamed to say this but i've used a M3x25 instead of the M3x16. I've changed it but the part is damaged, I will try to fix it...
Thanks for your help

RE: X axis belt "twisting"
Oooops!
at least you found the issue
just change the screw, clear the swarf, the part should be plenty strong afterwards...
