Left delrin nut rattles.
Hi, I got my printer two weeks now. Most of the time it’s printing 😊. And I’m happy so far.
the last days I noticed it got a little louder when moving the z axis. I first thought may something is ratteling on the desk.
But a few moments ago I found the course. If I move the left motor up and down a little I can see, hear and feel the delrin nut moving on the threaded rod. On the right side that’s almost not noticeable. It wasn‘t ther in the beginning, so the nut has worn out already ??
anyone else experienced that too ?

RE: Left delrin nut rattles.
You shouldn't be able to move the motor in it's mount. The Delrin nuts are supposed to be a slightly loose fit in the acme threaded rod. It sounds like your left z-axis motor is loose. You should realign and tighten it.
RE: Left delrin nut rattles.
Hi, i did not describe the problem correct. Ther is nothing wrong with the motor.
I just grabbed the X-carridge (by the X-carridge-motor) and moved the x-carridge up an down . And one can see, that the delrin trapezoid nut is a little lose on the threaded rod.
the movement is hardly seen in the clip i took yesterday night. but you can hear the noise. have to make a new shot with a steady camera 🙂
I did a print over night. And the rumbling (not ratteling) is quite annoying.
RE: Left delrin Trapezoid nut is loose on the thread rod
so its a low frequency rumble, due to the movement of the z-axis
just for clarification
RE: Left delrin nut rattles.
Yes exactly
RE: Left delrin nut rattles.
in my printer, there is, and has always been, a little slop in the nuts, and a rumble when z is moving a lot. I think that's normal. If you're worried about it, I would check the alignment of the threaded rods, per the assembly manual.
RE: Left delrin nut rattles.
the alignment is fine,
i printed some nuts and will tune them with a thread cutter. I will tell you the result.
