Huge Blob Error

Nothing like this has ever happened to me haha. Is the best way to clear this using a heat gun? This print ran overnight and probably messed up really early and I didn't catch it until I heard it grinding the plastic on the bed. It seems like it has fully enveloped the hot end and heating it up doesn't seem to loosen it much. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated! It's petg filament btw.

RE: Huge Blob Error

If I saw that I would have nightmares. Reminds me of the 1958 movie "The Blob".

I would disassemble the printer as much as you need to in order to be able to get to all sides of the blob. Maybe you can cut it with a Dremel tool. I don't really know. You might need to replace a bunch of parts.

Thanks for the reply! You are definitely correct. I heated up the hot end really high to loosen it, and drilled holes in it so i could have somewhere to grab with pliers and slowly work it off. It warped and melted some of the extruder parts, so i'll definitely need some replacements.
