How to disable WiFi and switch to Ethernet?
Last week I finally managed to build my MK4 kit, that was still waiting in its box. But yeah, other priorities and my MK3S+ is still performing quite nicely, but now it has been doing its initial test prints on the living room table. After some initial challenges, I'm slowely starting to learn and see I need to get used to a little bit different workflow.
So now I have moved the printer to its final place, and want to switch from WiFi to Ethernet, but I'm running into issues. For some reason, the printer remains connected to WiFi, even though I have switched to Ethernet in the configuration. In the settings screen it states that the active interface is [Eth], however when looking at the wifi status, it states it is connected and has received an IP address, while the Ethernet interface also is connected and has received an IP address. Which results in strange behaviour on the network.
Other then deleting the wifi network settings in the configuration, is there a way to just switch it off? Or to use it as "backup" connection in case the ethernet connection fails, so it will switch automatically to WiFi.

I've tried disabling WiFi, but my ethernet won't connect. Tried several different ethernet cables. Nothing. I have to switch back to WiFi.

Have you tried removing the wifi card. The MK4 is designed to run without it for use in secure environments. The ethernet port should then be the only network connection. If you want WiFi again, Just plug it back in. Then set to WiFi and have a prusa_printer_settings.ini on the thumb drive to configure the WiFi.

In the network settings there is an item, something like "active interface" or similar. The default setting on mine was "wifi", I toggled it and the printer connected to ethernet when I tried to set the clock via NTP. I don't remember the exact wording in the menu but the printer is currently printing, so I cannot look. I am sure you will be able to find the item in the menu.
