Cura profile for Prusa MK4
I print rc planes with my 3d printer. RC planes from Planeprint, Eclipson, and others use Cura as a slicer and provide specific profiles to print pieces of their planes. Unfortunately the MK4 is not included as one of the machines supported by Cura. As a result, Cura gcode leaves the MK4 in an unstable state after printing where it loses knowledge of the z-axis zero value. The only ways to recover is to perform a full hardware reset or print a gcode file produced by prusaslicer using an MK4 profile.
Any Cura experts out there willing to produce a Cura Prusa MK4 machine profiles and begin/end gcodes, as has been done for other Prusa printers?
RE: Cura profile for Prusa MK4
Would love this as well.
RE: Cura profile for Prusa MK4
Yes please if anyone knows how to do this. I can't stand prusaslice.
RE: Cura profile for Prusa MK4
Ive found that Cura is my Go To slicer ! It always just seems to work. I want to use Prusa Slicer, but it doesn't seem to be reliable. Ive used several slicers, but only Prusa slicer has crashed on several occasions during a print. This just happened recently. It's is fully updated. Is that the problem ? Anyway I'm printing a project with Cura and it is working beautifully !!!

RE: Cura profile for Prusa MK4
I've discovered that by downgrading my printers firmware my alleged prusa slicers issues have been resolved. I guess its not the slicer, but the printers firmware !!
RE: Cura profile for Prusa MK4
+1 to this. I use Cura 4.12 for 3D printed Eclipson airplanes and it would be nice to have a profile for the MK4.
RE: Cura profile for Prusa MK4
I'm having this same problem. Planeprint files can only be sliced in Cura so I can't print them on my MK4. Used Cura occasionally with my Mk3s, so I'm surprised I cant do the same with the MK4.

Any chance you could post a solution here as well for those of us that try to avoid Meta?

Great, thanks!
How did that profile work for you? Any issues?
RE: Cura profile for Prusa MK4
Profile enabled the Prusa MK4 to run the cura gcode without problems, and recover ready for the next print. It is just a machine profile enabling cura produced gcode to print on the MK4 without problems. The quality of the gcode is an independent issue. I was able to print gcode produced by Planeprint and Titan Dynamics provided cura profiles without issue.
RE: Cura profile for Prusa MK4
Just want to use my Prusa MK4S to print an Eagle in Planeprint.
Did anyone test the profile settings for MK4S (above is MK4)?
Planeprint recommends to use an older version of Cura, 4.12.1. In the description, it says profile was done for a Cura Version 5, ist that an issue?
