Can not flash new 4.7.2 firmware
just finished upgrade from MK3S+ to MK4. Turned on machine and started initial setup. Failed load cell test. Aborted the test and started up the machine. Without any problems I printed the TAG from the USB drive, went well, no problems. Tried another print from slicing to download to USB drive. That went well, no problems. Then I thought I should upgrade to the new firmware 4.7.2. I downloaded it and got the BBF file on to the USB drive. Restarted the machine hoping it would automatically set it up to flash the new firmware. No luck. I have tried several times and nothing works. Not even the method of forcing the installation. I have tried doing the Selftest but the load cell test does not work. Is that why I can't download the new firmware? Any help would be appreciated.

The USB drive has to be formatted FAT32. Other formats may work to print from, but flashing firmware requires FAT32.

RE: Can not flash new 4.7.2 firmware
I had a similar issue when upgrading form MK3S+ to the MK4. After successfully printing from the USB drive, I tried to flash the new 4.7.2 firmware but it didn't work. I downloaded the BBF file onto the USB drive drive and restarted the machine, but It didn't automatically set up the firmware update. I've tried forcing the installation and even performed the Selftest, but the load cell test doesn't work. Could this be the reason why I can't download the new firmware? I would appreciate any help with this.

RE: Can not flash new 4.7.2 firmware
I think someone else mentioned you must also remove all other firmwares from the USB drive.
RE: Can not flash new 4.7.2 firmware
Only one .bbf file on the usb. If more it wont update. Must be at top level, not in a sub directory. Load cell test, make sure nozzle is inserted correctly and tightened well. It is a soft tap for the test, not a hard tap.
RE: Can not flash new 4.7.2 firmware
Yes, you have to remove any other BBF file from the USB drive or you cannot update to the latest firmware. The manual for the MK4 is incorrect, I found the instructions in the blog information. If you do this it will flash.

You can keep older firmware files in a separate subdirectory on the usb stick though, if you want to keep them close by. Just put only the bbf file you want to flash in the root directory.

OK, makes sense.
