5.0.0 firmware and ripples
Not sure if this is a firmware issue or caused by incorrect selections in PrusaSlicer, but as per picture below, I have ripples in the top layers of a print only in one corner.
I am running the latest 5.0.0 release.
For this latest print, I wanted to use a slower solution so I selected the "Original Prusa Mk4 0.4 nozzle" printer selection (that is, not the "input shaper" printer selection) with the "0.20 Quality" print settings.
I assume with 5.0.0 firmware, if I don't want the increased speed of the input shaper solution, then these are the settings I would select.
I have reverted back to 4.7.2 and have a reprint of this part underway to see if the ripple problem also presents under this non Input shaper firmware and will advise the outcome in due course.
Is anyone else experiencing this problem?
RE: 5.0.0 firmware and ripples
Looks like this is not a firmware issue after all.
I reprinted under 4.7.2 and still have some rippling on the same corner, although not as bad as under the 5.0.0 firmware.
The STL file is pretty basic so wondering why I might be having this issue?
RE: 5.0.0 firmware and ripples
Hmm, looks like you are pretty under-extruded over the rest of the top and over-extruded in the corner (if I'm seeing the image correctly).
I'm not sure what would cause that. Not likely to be a gross filament quality issue these days
What top pattern did you select?
