When will we start to see the MK4 kit electronic manual getting posted?
Hi all fellow "printers" I posted a similar thought on another post and was told i was sending my message to the wrong post, which i wasn't. To that end i'm adding this as a new post to keep it seperate 😉
I was looking at the Assembly Manuals and don't see the electronic MK4 manuals posted online yet? Could this mean that Prusa expect a delay in starting shipping this week, or just waiting until the they actually start shipping?
You can't build kits without instructions and the sooner they get posted the better OR is Prusa afraid of copy cat items getting made before Prusa can get kits out OR will they include some paper in the kits directing people to a "special link" only available to those until a sufficent number of kits have been sent out and people have built them?
It will be nice for the first lucky ones who get the kits to add onto this post to enlighten us who are still waiting, I think mine is getting to me around July-ish
Any thoughts?
Kind regards,
3D Attic

Shipping is supposed to start tomorrow, so I expect the manual to drop in the next 48-72 hours.
RE: When will we start to see the MK4 kit electronic manual getting posted?
I don't even understand what the point of such posts is. The manual will get published when it gets published. None of us have any "secret" knowledge of Prusa's inner workings, and if we had, we wouldn't let it hang out here and get banned.
Formerly known on this forum as @fuchsr -- until all hell broke loose with the forum software...
RE: When will we start to see the MK4 kit electronic manual getting posted?
The manual will go up once the first kits start to ship - most likely nothing to do with others copying anything (the printers are all open source anyways) but more the fact that they could be adding final revisions and touches to the build guide to ensure its a detailed and straightforward experience......

Don't see the pont then don't post and add to it, 500+ views must mean it has some interest , even if it's not to you. That like saying the kits will arrive when they arrive. You miss the point sir or a chat post, it's to stir converessation not to troll it!

I agree! We are posting here as a community waiting for products that we paid for.
All I wish for Prusa to do is COMMUNICATE, and not be SILENT even when a deadline comes and goes.
A little communication is 100 times better than no communication at all!
For you (fuchsr) to opine that people should stop commenting is out of line!!
RE: When will we start to see the MK4 kit electronic manual getting posted?
I, for one, would like to see the build manual as I like to read through beforehand, even though I haven't received the printer yet, just so I know what to expect and have an overview of the build. I'm sure many others are the same.

They said they will start this week, not exactly today. So it could be the worst case that they'll start to ship on saturday. No delay for now. Just be patient.

You don't get it!
It's not about being patient or not.
When you pay for a product on a day that you are promised that shipping would start in about a month after (2nd half of May), but now it's pushed back another month (June 12th), and you don't hear ANY communication regarding why the product is delayed, it gets frustrating.
In my particular case, I need to make long travel arrangements to see family in another State soon (one of my sisters is in the hospital), and I would not want a package (that I have NO IDEA when it would arrive) to be left outside my front door for the duration of my absence.
Try to understand what motivates people for posting comments, before you label them as impatient people.
I would just love it if Prusa would keep customers in the loop, as practically as possible, without exposing any internal business information.
RE: When will we start to see the MK4 kit electronic manual getting posted?
I agree that the i3 design is well known and Joe Prusa is a great advocate for open sourse, but he is also a business man and wants to benifit from is companies work and R&D. The delay is release with supply and demand is difficult to get right. But the smaller things like getting a manual ready to help people to prepare would be nice to have and not wait for production supply issues to be fixed.
I'm a guy who like to read and read and read a manual until i feel confident i'm ready to build it myself. Thte longer I have to wait on the starting blck more impaitent I get....if that makes sense......anyhow another few weeks is not the end of the world.

They did. Prusa sent an email to people that pre-ordered the MK4 on May 30th. Actually it’s labeled and signed as being sent by Jo Prusa himself, not Prusa Research.
Anyway, though perhaps slightly late, the email did apologize for the delay, update the shipping time for the first kits to the week of June 12th, and link to the updated shipping table on Prusa’s website.
The email does say at the bottom it was send to a mailing list and has an unsubscribe link, so perhaps you selected to not receive emails and so you didn’t get it? Or it went to spam, or you just never saw it. But they did release some information.

They gotta make sure the gummy bear dosing is correct. Wouldn't want us to get a tummy ache.
RE: When will we start to see the MK4 kit electronic manual getting posted?
So it appears that Prusa support have confirmed that they began shipping out the first batch of Kits today...Yay! BUT checking the Assembly Manuals it was sadly lacking the MK4 kit manual?
Why send out the kits without an online manual. I feel thay are just in the process of getting this online , which is okay and we will see it tomorrow or, like i have said the kit is gonna have instruction where to get it. Only time will tell when people get the kits and attempt to build it.

RE: When will we start to see the MK4 kit electronic manual getting posted?
YEY! the manual is releaaed and having a quick look it is very well made and great high res pics that we are used to and a couple of videos, showing how to correctly startb to set up the Nextruder.
Thank you all thatbcommented, i think we can all be thankful for the work by Prusa Research. We just start need to start seeing reviews or live build videos, but to be honest. I'm just happy to have the manual to read and the videos will start to be made.
