What are the metal rods made out of?
I just got done upgrading my MK3 to a MK4, and I've got quite a few parts that I'm looking to recycle/upcycle. In this case, I've got the steel rods from the x-axis, y-axis, and z-axis. I'm also a beginner blacksmith/weaponsmith, so I was wondering what exactly these are made out of? "Hardened steel" means a lot of different things to different people, but do we know what alloy these are made of, and if they are galvanized or otherwise plated? Looking at them, I'm thinking they would make for some excellent cold-cut chisels or japanese scabbard chisels. But the question is, what kind of steel are they, and are they safe to put into a forge?
Thanks in advance!
