Ventilation question
Hello, I wanted to see what peoples thoughts are on ventilation for the MK4. Right now I have the enclosure and use it in a small office and I can open windows/use a box fan to pull air in/out. BUT winter is coming what people normally do. I'm a noob when it comes to 3d printing as this is my first experience with printing. Using mainly PLA I get a small smell of like pancakes with syrup when printing, I'm assuming there is potentially some toxic fumes but with PLA I've read that it's lower than some other filament types. Curious if anyone rigged up anything like a fan to remove fumes or not or what general thoughts are on it.
RE: Ventilation question
I think generally unless you're printing ABS/ASA you'll be fine. I'm printing all the MK3->MK4 upgrade parts in ABS currently and I wheel the workbench over by the window and hook up the ventilation hose from the enclosure and vent outside. Everything else, PLA, PETG, TPU, and the soluble filaments I don't use the ventilation for.
RE: Ventilation question
If I wanted to print other types of filaments though, would I just have to design my own vent mounts to the enclosure and seal it better?
RE: Ventilation question
yeah. Here's what I do. I wheel the whole workbench over to the window and vent outside. Both enclosures have ventilation kits with fan. I just hook up and turn on when I need to.

What is it for the enclosure?
RE: Ventilation question
I bought two enclosures from these guys including the light kit and ventilation package.
I've been pretty happy with them.
