Suggestion: Implementation of a Maintenance Guide in the MK4 Software
Hi everyone!
I’ve been thinking about how important it is to regularly maintain our printers to ensure they run as smoothly as possible. I have a suggestion: it would be great if we could have a built-in guide in the Prusa MK4 software. This guide could show step-by-step instructions on how to lubricate and maintain different parts of the printer.
To make it even more convenient, the software could remind us at regular intervals when it’s time to perform maintenance, based on usage frequency or time since the last service. This way, we can ensure our printers are always in top condition without having to remember all the details ourselves.
What do you think? Would this be a useful feature?

Great idea! A month or so back I started have printing issues on my MK4 and it was because the belt under the print surface was loose. It'd be great to auto detect things like that if possible or at least remind the user to check for it.

Are you thinking of code the printer's firmware, or some other application?

I would support this. Could be something for the app or for Prusa Connect: reading out the printer's stats and give suggestions.
