Regarding MK4 and Input Shaper desktop location
Greetings to All.
My question is in regards to how rigid and stable a desktop/table needs to be in order to handle the Input Shaper speed and movements.
Will it be necessary to establish an almost shake-free location?
Thanks to all that reply, greatly appreciated.
RE: Regarding MK4 and Input Shaper desktop location
I'd say give it a go and keep an eye on it. Mine sits on a light IKEA countertop propped on 2 sawhorses, so not particularly shake-free. I did make sure neither the the countertop nor the printer can freely wobble. Results are good so far, as good as the non-IS prints.
RE: Regarding MK4 and Input Shaper desktop location
Thanks, I am trying it right now and it appears that my current table arrangement is working OK
The print I'm doing took 7 hrs with MR4 (without input shaping) and is now doing it in 3 hrs (with input shaping), all Prusa Slicer settings are the same.
What a big difference.
Finished quality is the same for both.
