RE: Prusa MK4 missing lines randomly
Are you actually able to print from Connect via Wi-Fi with that build? My understanding was that Connect was broken on Wi-Fi with alpha 1.
RE: Prusa MK4 missing lines randomly
Yes, its working very nice over Prusaconnect with 6.2.0 Alpha 1, using upload and print with Prusaslicer. I printed a few more benchys, and they all came out perfect. Im not sure what fix in the Firmware that did the trick, but it works.

Okay, well, I updated my XL to 6.2.0 alpha 1 and it will not connect to Prusa Connect at all. The status on the LCD says "refused".
One note: the Wi-Fi showed as non-functioning after the software update, until I reset the printer. Then the network came up and it has an IP address, but Prusa Connect is refusing connections. I changed the connection to Ethernet, which requires leaving a door open into my garage and running a 50' Ethernet cable, and the printer connects just fine.
So, if you're relying on Wi-Fi for your printers, I would definitely advise against 6.2.0 alpha 1 for now.
RE: Prusa MK4 missing lines randomly
I've been using my XL for the past week with the 6.2 alpha 1 firmware. As noted above, this release breaks Wi-Fi, so I've been using Ethernet, but I have not seen the missing perimeter issue during this time.
Now Prusa has released 6.2 alpha 2, which fixes the Wi-Fi breakage. But it seems that all they've done for that fix is to revert the prior change, so I fear that it will reintroduce the missing perimeter bug.
RE: Prusa MK4 missing lines randomly
My MK4 has had no issues with the WiFi, and printing without missing perimeters. Could it be a XL specific issue? Please keep us updated on your experience with 6.2 Alpha 2
RE: Prusa MK4 missing lines randomly
No, I had the issue first on my MK4. The issue seems to be whenever Prusa Connect is used. If I disable Connect, it's fine, but of course I lose the functionality of Connect, which I want.

I printed some benchys with 6.2.0 Alpha 2 on my MK4, it still works and have no artefacts or missing lines with my printer.
