Problems with Filament Change
Hey guys, how are you?I'm having problems every time I run out of filaments when printing or when, for example, I make a color change in the prusa slicer. The printer ejects the old filament, and asks me if it has already been removed. When I remove the filament, it seems that the sensor does not notice and does not let me continue. Should I disable the auto filament sensor function?
RE: Problems with Filament Change
I get a similarly weird issue once in a while when loading filament. After loading, it ejects it and I have to use the move axis option to move the "e" axis 10-20mm to get filament flowing out the nozzle again. It's not every time, it's not most of the time but when it happens, if I don't reload the filament, then the first layer is wrecked.
RE: Problems with Filament Change
I had the same problem, sometimes having to insert and withdraw the new filament many times. But when i loaded firmware 5.1.2 some weeks ago the problem has gone away.
RE: Problems with Filament Change
Thanks. I will try with the new Firmware.
RE: Problems with Filament Change
I ran into this as well. Support had me run through these steps ( https://help.prusa3d.com/article/filament-sensor-mk4-mk3-9_465702). Once I was putting things back together after step "3) Removing the sensor" (yes, while everything was still hot, fans running and everything) I got a beep and the screen changed to "fully insert filament" Once everything was back in it took the new filament and picked up where it left off (75% through a 9hr print).
