MK4 Sound

I'm finding my MK3S+ to actually be quieter in most moves compared to the MK4.  I don't have a meter, but sitting here listening to the two running simultaneously, I hear far more of the MK4 than the MK3S+.  Anyone else?

RE: MK4 Sound

Hi addohm,

I do not own a MK4 by now. But my mk3s  was and is (after 2 years)  not very quiet when movement speed is over 80mm/s and nothing compared to the MK4 video.  Did I get a MK3s mondays model / lemon? I am really curious what Prusa did to get the MK4 as silent as in the benchi video. Did they change something significant with bearings / lubricant or (joke) use a anechoic room?

Relative to the MK3, neither in stealth mode, there are several motions that are extremely quiet.  Im just noticing that overall the MK4 with stock profiles seems louder.  With my MK3S+ at +150% its louder overall (as I would expect), but at stock everything its not.  Maybe its just me or my own "MK4 Monday's Model" /shrug

RE: MK4 Sound

So for me the question is: what are the stock profiles you apply 🙂 (speed, acceleration). With 'stealth mode' I get some movements (Hexagons as in Honeycomb storage wall) not louder but more or as annoying as in normal mode. But that is my MK3S.
