How best to turn off?
What is best for the long term health of the Mk4?
Thanks and sorry if this has already been posted.
RE: How best to turn off?
The switch simply cuts the power to the input side of the PSU, which is exactly what a switch on your surge protector would do, so there is no difference at all.
That being said, there _can_ be a difference when turning your stuff on. If you have multiple devices connected to the same power strip and you turn them all on at once, the current that flows through the power strip can be very high - depending on the initial power draw of your devices, obviously. That can trip your circuit breaker and might cause harm to the devices. So if you have devices on that power strip that draw lots of current when being turned on, e.g. stuff like chunky audio amplifiers that load huge capacitors, you might not want to switch those together.

Great info! Thanks!!

If the printer is a basic Mk4, I would wait for the extruder to cool below 50C before turning off so that the heat does not soak up past the heat break and soften the remaining filament end. .
If the Mk4 has MMU, then MMU removes the filament from the extruder so you can turn the printer off straight away.
