RE: Anyone else worried about bed adhesion

I have used a lot of 3dlac in the (ozone layer friendly) pump bottles. It is very easy to coat the sheet with it, before putting it inside the printer of course. And you do not have to apply it before every print. I don't use it for everything, but it helps. One bottle lasts a long time for me.

ok - so you're kinda 100% correct! on this...

Been printing lots on my old mk3 with zero issues, small production line - so dozens of the same part, same process, all running perfectly.
Smallish parts in ASA, like a small square torch if that makes sense?

Then I setup my brand new MK4 & nothing but warping issues!  super frustrated
Same print settings, even used the existing Mk3s printbed sheet & still having warping issues on the mk4!?!?!

The issue was it was printing too fast!  Just putting too much plastic down too quickly - causing warping.
So I had to print slower, or print 3x the amount of parts - so that each layer had more time to cool between the next layer.

After that - all was well!!!

There must be some sort of limit on the volume per cm2 per hour that you can print before warping cannot be controlled!

Anyone else worried about bed adhesion with the MK4?  I am concerned that with the upgrade in speed, the bed will shake every part lose before the part can finish.

RE: Anyone else worried about bed adhesion

I was concerned about the impact that input shaping would have on bed adhesion, as a few of my 1st longer, as in length prints had some lifting at the edges. I hate using brims because it spoils an aesthetically perfect print with trimming marks, no matter how careful you are.

I reduce the first layer print speed to 10 for PETG on a textured sheet to give the filament plenty of time to fill every nook and cranny of the textured sheet. Standard IS speeds afterwards. No adhesives, a wipe of IPA and never a brim unless a print fails; touch wood, I haven't had a failure since slow 1st layering. I do use an Original Prusa Enclosure as well for UK temperature ranges, but I think it doesn't matter what enclosure you use as long as you maintain the temperature at say 20°C and above. Mine is at 25°C inside the enclosure, with a 2°C external temperature with this current print.

so far on my mk4 (enclosure, 5.0.0 fw, prusament filament):

- PLA on smooth PEI sheet: if clean and pieces are not very small I get good adhesion. On very small pieces I use 3DLac stick adhesive and it works beautifully.

- PETG on smooth, satin or textured: no problems at all.

- PC Blend was warping badly until I started using 3DLac stick adhesive. Since that adhesive PC blend is like printing PETG ... not an issue anymore
