It works well when you upload from Prusaslicer which is what I do mist of the time.  I have not checked whether it works when you drag and drop using prusalink web page, but suspect it would work,  Certainly they say it will work also when uploading using PrusaConnect.

The easiest snd mist convenient of the 3 methods  is direct from Prusa Slicer (imo)

Isn’t it that streaming only works if you upload via web page (prusalink)? If so, it’s useless, at least for me. I upload all my files via prusaslicer directly, i rarely use web page…

If you are sending direct from the slicer it will be via PrusaLink or PrusaConnect depending on how you set it up - it just hides that from you. If you have set it up to use connect then streaming will work no problems, I always use it like that.

I suppose "streaming" can be interpreted several ways.  Given the "Streaming" feature exists in the Firmware I would think it means that the moment a print command is received it start moving data from the g-file to some internal memory location and begins processing that data in the memory location immediately. It does not check to see of the g-file is complete before starting the process, and it effectively streams the data into the memory location.  This would allow streaming to take place regardless of the path the data takes to get to the printer (direct from USB, Over a local network, or over the Web).

If there are any programmers out there that know exactly how this works I'd like to hear your feedback

Anyone else noticed that the auto loading of filament does not work in 5.1.2?  I downgraded to 5.1.0 and it works again, going to stay there until the next version after 5.1.2 is released I guess.

Hey @BobCollins

unlike some others, I just hunkered down and adjusted the bearing on my mk4 kit version allowing me to continue using 5.1.2

Thus I can verify that autoloading works on mine using 5.1.2

While I would not put  it past Prusa to have changed tolerances in that area too, but in that case no change was even mentioned  in release notes for 5.1.0 nor 5.1.2

The biggest thing about this set of issues is poor documentation of the changes in the release notes and a complete failure to recognise that they effectively hardware setup on  Mk4’s that had been working well for several months, and no statement released since the issue was discovered by users has acknowledged the issue. Furthermore the issue cropping up when the bed bearings installed per assembly guide, thus highlighting deficiency in that guide. its in the mk4 kit and the mk3s+>mk4 upgrade assembly guide versions.

Mine was a factory assembled one, so I am hoping they resolve the issue without me needing to do anything to the printer.  I may try blowing out the area with some compressed air, and then rerun the first configuration/calibrations again, and see if that allows it to work.  If I use the LOAD FILAMENT it works, just will not auto-load.

To dare inly 2 quick fixes have cone forward

1-. use a thin device poked between the bearing and the smooth rod mount during the y acis self test.

2. take the bed apart so far as necessary to move the front left bearing forward by a small amount (in my own case 0.1 mm) .

I chose the latter course. I also made sure that my subsequent assembly of mk3s>mk4 upgrade also had a wider interior gap on y axis bearings  than indicated in the assembly guide.
