My order, from 4/3, with black power supply, has now changed from 'New' to 'In Progress' - hoping thats a good sign of movement on it. Still wish that Prusa would give more info and actually be able to answer questions rather than 'we dont know'.

I ordered my upgrade kit on the 4th February. It has finally arrived today.
First thoughts: Those of you who are still waiting can spend the time usefully printing out the printable parts. I think that's going to take a week if you only have one printer and go to bed every now and then.

I ordered on 3/31 and I would not focus on when others reportedly ordered. There are so many factors that can delay or speed up an order. My order still registers as paid and new.

I was 4/1 and got the two kits last Thursday. You'd definitely want to print the parts in advance. Though there is such a thing as too early to print lol. I printed all mine shortly after ordering, and they were R1 parts. Of course, There were R2 parts released in the mean time. It'll take a few days for sure. And in my case I'm printing them in Lime Green ABS so my hours are limited to when I can have the window open and the ventilation in the enclosure hooked up to outside. For me this meant quite a few more batches so I could do 2 and 3 hour blocks of time and not 20h worth of printing. I should be able to start the first upgrade maybe tomorrow or this weekend.
I sure wish I understood why some folks are delayed and some aren't.

Hopefully you got all the parts printed. just checked through all the parts again and I found two that I hadn't printed. I'm printing for two upgrade kits. Last batch SHOULD be done tomorrow morning so I can start an actual upgrade of one of the printers this weekend.
Doing any fun color or material? The kit comes with black and orange prusament petg , but I wanted something brighter like the Pastel green Hatchbox ABS I'm printing stuff in lol

Well that should make it easy, you should be able to use the pre-sliced gcode then. Though I'm not sure why the presliced files use gyroid instead of the recommended grid infill lol.

yes I could have probably made things easier on myself and just printed in the black and orange that came with the kits lol but I saw someone had done their mini in this color ages ago on reddit and I really liked it too lol
Just having some coffee before I start disassembling the first printer. I think I'm going to start with the MMU one and take the MMU off and convert the printer back to a standard printer. I can always switch it back later if I'm feeling adventurous lol Not sure though, with the 5 extruder fully assembled XL on the way(at some point soon) I may not have a need to go back to mmu.
I have the assembly instructions pulled up and I'm ready lol

damn, upon further inspection of the y rods I found some grooves. I also found some very slight ones on the x rods as well. oh well, guess I'm going to order a set of x and y rods. I'll order two sets, preemptively for the second printer I haven't done the upgrade to yet.

I ordered 4/26. This has been extremely disappointing to me. The support team handling the shipping has been horrible, ZERO help. I had just finished assembling my printer when I saw the announcement for the new one and their support felt like I was being sold a lemon used car. I have not even printed anything (new to 3D printer world) so printing all the required parts will be interesting as a start to 3D printing in general.
So far, Prusa the company has been a huge disappointment. I hope than when I am past this and have the upgrade printer it will be a far better experience.

While printing the parts for the upgrade and looking through the instructions, thought occured to me - what use could all the replaced parts from the MK3 version be used for? Seems like all that electronics/stepper-motors/etc ought to be able to build something. Small robots to go bring in the mail, something!

So I orderd an Aluminium frame(bear) and a heatbed+carriage and I will build a mk3 with bearframe.
