Nozzle is clogged
I need help with my MK4 Printer
Everytime I printed an object the nozzle got clogged after a few minutes. I tried to clean it with a needle but that didn't work. Should I disassemble the extruder and fix in with a heat gun or somthing?
RE: Nozzle is clogged
Thanks for the fast answer I will try it on the next weekend. I will contact you about the results.
RE: Nozzle is clogged
I have tried the cold pull now and it still doesn't work. I another text about clogged nozzles where it says this:
"Partial clog
Sometimes the clog is partial, meaning that the printer is able to push some filament through, but it is not enough to print the object properly, leading to visible gaps and missing layers. An early sign of a clogged nozzle is that the filament is not extruded consistently, curls up, and sticks to the nozzle.
Extruder clicking
The hotend or the nozzle is partially or fully clogged and the internal resistance against the flow of the filament is greater than what the gears are able to push. As a result, the gears are skipping leading to the “clicking” noise and in most scenarios also to the grinding of the filament."
That is exactly the case, please help
A cold pull should deal with a partial clog, sometimes the clog is a scrap of higher temperature filament from a previous jub which needs to be cold-pulled from a higher temperature.
An alternative is a sort of hot push, use only if a cold pull fails ... take at least half a meter of PLA, maybe the tag end of a roll, open the nextruder and push the end of the filament into the top of the nozzle tube - heat the nozzle to a few degrees above the printing temperature of the highest melting point filament that you use then push the PLA down through the nozzle, slowly at first, increasing to as fast as possible finishing by pulling the final end back out as fast as you can.
If this fails; remove the nozzle and burn out the residue with a blowtorch.
Cheerio,
