MK4 Build Experinces The Good The Bad and The Ugly
Now that Prusa has started to ship out kits, and the kit assembly is online.
https://help.prusa3d.com/category/original-prusa-mk4-kit-assembly_1967
I wanted to have a place to get comments on the The Good, The Bad and the Ugly. Share here so other kit builders can get some insights on problems you were having.
I still have to wait for my MK4 kit to be shipped so i'm eger to see those lucky one sharing their insights. hopefully i won't get stuck on a step along the way
Thanks in advance
Sorry, I disagree. The proper place for comments of this sort is the comment space at every step in the online manual - you linked it above.
That way builders with issues can see what others did at the same stage and Prusa can home in on common issues and address them by modifying the documentation - or even the part in extremis.

I understand what you're sying but everyone writes comments on the Prusa website and I just wanted to see if any one has more comments than , thank you well written ...etc. That said if people want to use the Prusa site to post then please do so, I think time will tell where the comments are placed?
I agree that sycophantic comments would be useless but that isn't what happens. Take a look at the Mk3 build manuals. Almost every step has comments, most of them constructive and likely to be a help to a builder with issues.
Now it is time to build a similar resource for Mk4 builders.

This is the worst idea of 2023.
Problems and tips and how to solve them belong first in the comment sections of the on line manual.
That is where you as a newbie or experienced builder will get the most help.
Suppose you run into problems, you would have to search this forum.
Then you just have to have the hunch that you can find it in the thread called The Good, The Bad and the Ugly.
So I would turn it around, anyone who wants to know what goes right or wrong when building an MK4 just go look in the online manual.
RE: MK4 Build Experinces The Good The Bad and The Ugly
Ive been through the online manual in some detail - its just as descriptive as the MK3S+ manual was. Other then the odd typo, and the odd obvious copy/paste job (where they say put the screw in the left side twice, when it needs to go into the right the second time, etc!), it all looks very straightforward.
Thankfully more cable space in the electronics box this time!!

Ditto. All of my MK3S have the raspberry pi in the enclosure with the electronics. I refused the change it once I got it right, but it was the worst mistake I ever made. Getting all the wiring organized was a bear.

RE: MK4 Build Experinces The Good The Bad and The Ugly
After seeing post by people who did not understand my post i see the following post called " First f**up Prusa MK4 KIT"
THIS EXACTLY WHAT I WAS SAYING! i understand people post comments of things wrong on the manual to the comments sections, but it's does not have a place to add your thoughts or EXPERIENCE ....sorry to shout but sometimes people just have to comment and agree to posts to feel included. Thank you for your comments but you see more disjointed post of people saying what probems they have seen (Bad to Ugly) etc.
No. That is one damaged part. The best place to comment is the manual where Prusa will see it and, if it recurs, will know there is something wrong with the packaging. In the meanwhile the waranty covers it and Prusa will make good.
Prospetive kit builders do visit th manual before buying to see whether they will be able to cope.

I added 2 comments to the manual. It is the best place to help others during assembly. For overall comparisons vs MK3 series, I put up MK4 notes. I had a lot of questions about the MK4 so I thought his may help others.
RE:
I do not have the MK4, but when I built the MK3S, before I even started I read the entire online manual, paying specific attention to the comments, and when I did the actual assembly I re-read the comments at each step and in several places they added detail and cleared up confusion.
I ended up with an assembled printer which passed all initial tests and printed the Prusa logo and tree frog (my wife still keeps this on her desk) very nicely.
I would encourage all to please put assembly comments in with the manual steps so those who are doing the assembly will benefit from their insight and guidance.
