Advice for a MK3 user getting ready to assemble newly-arrived MK4 Kit?

I've been reading the assembly notes for my newly-arrived MK4 kit, and thinking about what, if anything, I need to do in preparation for the assembly.

Reading through the first few sets of notes, I saw there were a lot of complaints about the quality of the M5x16r screws used for the frame assembly, so I brought up my McMaster-Carr account and ordered a bag of 100 stainless steel M5x16r screws.

I checked with Prusa support and they seem to think that the printed parts my just-arrived kit are the latest rev, so that box is checked.

I saw some comments about twisting filaments attributed to sub-standard parts on the extruder assembly - is this still an issue; should I plan on printing replacement parts for this issue?

Anything else I should be thinking about?

TIA,

Frank

RE: Advice for a MK3 user getting ready to assemble newly-arrived MK4 Kit?

I built my MK4 back in January. I built an MK3S some years ago. I had some of the same concerns. All of my hardware was fine (i.e., screws). I think the screw complaint was from much earlier kits. I don't think you will need to print any parts based on my experience. It seems like you are reading through the comments, and that is probably all you need to do. The MK4 is easier to build than the MK3S. My biggest issue was getting the belts tightened properly. I added a comment about that once I found a good way to do it.
