IR sensor always shows 1, insert filament goes to 0

Hi, just upgraded to 3.5. Not sure if the filament sensor was working or not before the upgrade, but when I got my MK3 4 years ago I did many prints where I swapped the colour in the slicer with no issues, but I haven't tried that for 3 years. I tried after my upgrade it the 3.5 doesn't recognise a filament swap created by GCODE. When I look at the display the value is always 1, if I move the arm through the sensor it than shows a 0. It does this on both the new sensor I brought and the old one. I believe all wires are hooked up correctly and I have continuity checked all wires back to the Buddy board and they all seem good. All +5v trace and read correctly, all grounds read correctly. I am on firmware 6.2.2 now.

I will try some older firmware to see if that is the issue while I wait for an answer here.

Tried all of the different firmware, something changed between 5.2.2 and 6.0.0. Values are what the filament sensor shows on the diplay.

FirmwareOpenClosed

5.2.2 NINS/0INS/0

6.0.0 NINS/1INS/0
