Working with gIgh res. .STL Files
Good Day,
i tried to work with high resolution STL files but importing them in a classical cad to add for example a mechanical socket turns out to be a non trivial Task. The CAD-Programms usually crash or you have to turn down the triangle count extensivly to be able to work on them at all.
If, for example, i open such a file with FreeCAD and try to convert it to something editable. FreeCAD packs full all my RAM and seems to be stuck after that but giving no error message.
Are here People who do those kind of things regulary and are willing to share their workflow with me?
A example would be this Albert_Einstein_highres.stl file.
Thanks in Advance!
