what is the difference between cali dragon and benchy?
hello, quick question
what is the difference between the 3d printer testing models cali dragon and benchy?
if they are basically the same test that tests the same thing, why bother with the benchy if it takes longer and takes more time and filament then the cali dragon?
thank you
RE:
Benchy is the original de-facto standard for testing 3D printers. Anyway, this is what Reddit and the AI's are saying:
3DBenchy is a classic all-in-one test that includes challenges like slopes, overhangs, and small text to assess a printer's overall calibration and surface quality. The Cali Dragon is often a more advanced test that focuses on fine details, part cooling, retraction, and stringing, particularly for materials like ABS/ASA, and the articulated version tests bed leveling and retraction specifically
