Using this web forum with Google Chrome or Safari on MacOS is hopelessly broken
Starting a new thread. I give up trying to use Chrome or Safari. Both are broken, especially Chrome where I'm getting innumerable javascript errors causing http timeouts (500) and other problems (none of the buttons work). I've tried disabling all addins, incognito mode, clearing the cache, nothing works.
I'm writing this using Brave which is a chromium fork. This works. I can use the forums again.
Please don't reply with: "I don't have a problem with Chrome" or "It works on Windows" it's not helpful. It's been a continuous problem with Chrome for the last 6 months on 4 different laptops and with different accounts.
RE: Using this web forum with Google Chrome or Safari on MacOS is hopelessly broken
I've permanently switch to Brave as my default browser. It is much faster than Chrome with a lot less bloat.

I feel your pain, brother. Used to be that Safari worked fine with the forum but lately...
Regular problems with Cloudflare failing to connect to their servers (same issue on Chrome).
Trying to reply, I get an empty text box in which I can't enter text.
Trying to edit one of my posts, text edit box pops up but is empty.
Getting logged out constantly (also an issue on iOS)
I may have to give Brave a try

I may have to give Brave a try
It's so much faster than chrome that it feels like I'm on a different website.

I am also using Brave, for its privacy functions and ad filtering. But I do not notice a speed difference. When the Prusa forum site is under the weather again (which currently seems to be for a few hours every day), it's just as bad with Brave as with Chrome: Very long response times, to the extent that I go and check some other site in the meantime, and occasional "broken in 500 pieces" errors.
RE: Using this web forum with Google Chrome or Safari on MacOS is hopelessly broken
Exactly my experience. I'm using Chrome on Windows10 and the "broken in 500 pieces" message has become an old friend. Currenly the site sems to work OK. Maybe in a few minuites it will start playing tricks again.
RE: Using this web forum with Google Chrome or Safari on MacOS is hopelessly broken
Simplify as "Using this web forum is hopelessly broken" (and not just into "500 pieces" as the server occasionally admits).
It sometimes locks up for 15 minutes or more without apparent reason. This is particularly annoying when it causes the edit window to expire.
The symptoms - double-and triple posting when the "submit" button appears unresponsive but only the server response is delayed - are visible frequently for random users so it's not my account/browser/PC/ISP.

Maybe they should upgrade their webserver host from Raspberry Pi Zero to a Raspberry Pi 5

I have the same experience, also on iPad. Often I can even log in or reload a page and simply give up.

RE: Using this web forum with Google Chrome or Safari on MacOS is hopelessly broken
I don't have quite as many problems, but there are several issues on Firefox as well.
Including several times in the last week where these forums and printables both become unresponsive and slow as molasses. I mean, it can't even upload a 200kb picture correctly...
RE: Using this web forum with Google Chrome or Safari on MacOS is hopelessly broken
I'm using Windows 11 and Edge and have the same issues with response and the 500 pieces or timeout message. It just depends on luck and the time of day. For the longest time I could post replies but not start a new topic. The buttons for that and other things did nothing. Then, magically, everything started working a couple days ago. Still get the long (30 second-infinity) delays, but all the buttons work. Interestingly, whenever I've placed an order through the site, that part is fast and works fine. The community part seems the worst, though right this minute it's fine.

Prusa getting their priorities right...
