Upgrading mk4 to mk4s and getting mmu3
A while ago i got a mk4 from work and am finally planning to upgrade it to mk4s and I'm gonna get the mmu3. I'm wondering if i should look at getting anything else like parts that wear or anything so i don't have to pay for shipping to the USA twice.
RE: Upgrading mk4 to mk4s and getting mmu3
For MMU3, use a standard nozzle, not a high flow nozzle
the High flow nozzle, has a more complex filament path, that requires a larger purge volume during filament changes, and I Believe it also complicates 'ramming' which is required to get a good filament tip shape, during filament changes

RE: Upgrading mk4 to mk4s and getting mmu3
Thermal sensor, heater, socks, are the normal replacement parts, but they are available from US suppliers also. It is time waiting for a part that matters. In 3+ years I have only had a nozzle temp thermister fail. I have diamond nozzles and don't tend to change it much so wear and tear on heater and thermister wiring is low. All others were human error related. This is across 4 machines.
