Two question about the official MKx enclosure
Thanks to a topic on Reddit today about 3D printing safety concerns, I decided to order enclosures for my two MK4S printers.
I'm now thinking about how to deploy them in my space. I foresee two issues, and I'd like to submit them for feedback from current enclosure owners:
1) The dimensions of the printers are listed as 530 mm (w) × 545 mm (h) × 715 mm (d) with the LCD mounted outside or 640 mm (d) with the LCD mounted inside. My printers are stored on a heavy metal shelf unit that's only 24 inches (610mm) deep. I presume that the dimension includes feet that are positioned right up to the corners, so I'll have to deal with a 30mm overhang. I can pick up a slab of sheet wood that's 650mm or so in width and substitute it for a shelf. Since positioning the shelf to overhang in the front will look awfully janky, I'll probably need to pull the shelf unit out from the wall and let the slab overhang in the back.
2) I monitor both printers with Nest cameras that are mounted onto the vertical rails of the unit with 3D-printed brackets. It seems pretty clear that the enclosure will block that view, so I'll need either to reposition the cameras or to find an integrated solution with the same or other cameras.
Any feedback on either question? Thanks in advance.
RE: Two question about the official MKx enclosure
If you can afford it get the easy disconnect as well, otherwise it is a real pain to take a printer out for maintenance.

RE: Two question about the official MKx enclosure
Thanks - I did some research before purchasing and saw a bunch of comments about that issue, so I ordered two of those (as well as the LED strips and, of course, the filtration systems).
RE: Two question about the official MKx enclosure
I wouldn't have bothered with the filtration or LED, you can DIY these easy enough for a lot less money
RE: Two question about the official MKx enclosure
Thanks for the suggestion. The LED strip seemed terribly overpriced and I might regret that.
As for the filtration, I'm less concerned about the overall cost and more concerned about doing it right, since it is my top reason for buying these enclosures. I trust Prusa's research team more than my amateur efforts.
RE: Two question about the official MKx enclosure
For the filtration I just took the Prusa version and tweaked it for cheaper and more readily available filters.

For the light, I just used dirty cheap 24v strips, as I wanted quite a few I bought a separate power supply but for just one I would have just added to the standard PS
RE: Two question about the official MKx enclosure
Regarding the cameras, you may need to print new mounting brackets. The vertical frame corners of the enclosure do have some holes for you to attach you own add-ons using screws. Or, you can take inspiration from the Buddy-3D camera and use magnets to attach your own camera mounts to the steel frame of the enclosure.
Here are some more camera (many types) mounts for the Prusa enclosure from other people for you to take inspiration from:
