Trouble with shop?

Anyone else having difficulties making purchases from the shop today? I've tried three times to buy an i3 Mk3 and it has rejected my card every time.

Re: Trouble with shop?

go to the chat button in the lower right corner where you are trying to buy... it is the CC clearing system they use... I tried with 4 different cards and all failed the same way but not in any way the issuing banks of those cards could trace. As far as they were concerned no attempt had been made to use those cards... and I had actually contacted the one I was to use before hand telling them that I was about to make an $800 purchase in Prague so the charge would be cleared..... What I did on the advice to the Chat support was use PayPal linked to the credit card I wanted to use (Air Miles with my favorite airline)

you are not the only one who has had this problem and I would bet dollars to doughnuts that the outfit they use for this is costing them sales... perhaps it is the best available to them....

Pay Pal Is safe and you can link it to what ever card you desire or even to your bank account 😮 ......I am not trusting enough for that one though...

Re: Trouble with shop?

Interestingly enough, I am in the UK and none of the purchases I have made from Prusa offer PayPal as an option. All I get it wire transfer or immediate online CC payment through CSOB. It has been this way since my first order over 18 months ago. How do you guys get the PayPal choice?

PayPal is not available in Europe (and probably other places as well). There was a time when PR used PayPal for everywhere, but then PP blocked their account and PR moved on to CC only for many buyers.

Thanks Peter. I had heard that Josef was in dispute with PayPal at one time and since then refused to use them. That being the case, I do not understand why some customers can now use PayPal and others not. Surely PayPal are all one company?

Re: Trouble with shop?

Paypal blocked PR's account due to "bad business practice". Taking money and not shipping goods within a two (?) month period.

To me, that is understandable; if lots of customers raised PayPal issues and wanted their money refunded, then PayPal must have some way of doing just that.

So, to avoid this happening again, PR switched to CC only but retained PayPal for the US (and maybe some other places).

Re: Trouble with shop?

Sorry about the bad advice... you are left with only one option if the chat session does not result in being able to use your CC.

that is Invoice purchase and wire transfer they will move your invoiced order into the active line for shipping when your wire transfer linked to the invoice clears...
I helped the science department at the local highschool order an assembled printer this way via invoice and wire transfer when the schools credit card would not go through and their purchase rules would not let them use PayPal

Yes I have a friend who lives about 10 mils from me and has the same bank issue his CC and he had no problem using his at Prusa... but if your card does not go through and you contact your issuing bank and inquire and are told that not only is there no problem on your card but that they have seen no attempts to check that it is good... well then you have hit this bug with the payment clearing system at prusa and you either use paypal if that option is available (USA and Canada it seems) or invoice and wire transfer

Re: Trouble with shop?

I get payment declined on all of my bank cards.
They all work fine everywhere else.
I've switched to buying filament and whatever I can buy elsewhere and I only buy stuff from Prusa if I have to, such as i3, MMU2 etc.
A great shame, I'd really like support Prusa, but its too much hassle every time I want a roll of filament <SHEESH> 🙁

Re: Trouble with shop?

I've had problems only twice. In both cases the problem was with the browser I was using. Maybe updated security settings or something else.

In my case the issue was because it would request my bank to verify and I would see that, but the link wouldn't always come up so I would change browsers or try again another time.
I wonder if the big influx of orders due to the "S" upgrades and orders have bogged down the system?
