Tree supports for FDM Printers?

I just went through the laborious task of putting tree supports into a print for my MK3S+ printer using prusa slicer using this guide    It can be done but what a pain in the ass.

Is this coming anytime soon as a standard feature for FDM printers?

thanks for an excellent product.

RE: Tree supports for FDM Printers?

The latest few releases of Cura do tree supports.

Hmmm...   That's nice to know but  I don't want to use two different slicers....

RE: Tree supports for FDM Printers?

IIRC, and this is dusting off months-old fleeting memories, there was discussion (here? elsewhere?) on faking thing out, as PS supposedly supports tree supports on the SL1.  Something to do with temporarily selecting the SL1 printer, slicing the model, and then somehow switching to the I3.  I forget how that worked and a quick search comes up empty.
