RE: Tension belt limitation?
@MOP:
Again - just to be clear - those NUMBERS do not indicate belt tension. And my 'range' shown is just a guideline based on my experience, not something that should be taken as gospel. They indicate how much friction you have between the bearings and the rods and drag of cables, seals, etc. Ideally, both axes should show similar numbers.
My numbers changed significantly when I installed properly greased Misumi bearings. From 260 to 295. My printer worked fine at 260.
Look at LCD status for CRASHES, if you are having them, then something is catching, or something is too tight. It is probably bearings, but can also be cables routed where they interfere, the 3mm nylon filament allowing the harness to droop and snag, etc.
There are no test parts for this - moving the axes by hand to find rough or sticky spots, or running self test to update the numbers is all we have.
