Suggestions for bulk order of PETG filament
Hi,
I find myself in a situation in which the Amazon truck shows up now almost every day, to drop off filament. I'm going through a lot of PETG right now, same color. So I'm thinking if there was a way to bulk order, I could potentially save some money. And with bulk, I don't mean industrial scale but 10 to 12 spools at a time. In a quick visit to the Mighty Google I couldn't find any place obvious. Matterhackers sells 12 packs but only PLA. Any suggestions, anyone? I'm currently using Jarees but I'm brand agnostic, as long as it's quality.

I just did a quick check and it appears you get bulk discount pricing on Matter Hackers brand PETG. From what I see they only do it with their Build series though and not their Pro (supposedly US made).

Thank you. I didn't check individual listings. I looked on their filament by the case page, which only lists PLA.

No worries, believe it or not I was on the phone with them yesterday, having to exchange a roll of 3mm I accidentally purchased, and spoke to them a little bit about filaments. I’m currently doing the most printing I have ever done, and was talking to them about bulk pricing. The only thing I would watch out for, the factory seal went bad on the two rolls of “Build” I purchased from them a month ago. I just got around to trying them out and was disappointed to see that.

I looked at Matterhackers in more detail. Of course, the color I need is on backorder. But even if were in, it's $17.99 bulk price per spool, which is exactly the same as the Jarees PETG on Amazon, and I get 5% cashback with my Amazon card. So not really a good deal. Of course, I can't compare quality but the Jarees does the job very well (surprisingly well in fact, as I had not even heard of Jarees before until I saw a review by Chuck).

I won't suggest suppliers as we're on opposite sides of the pond but I have also taken to ordering in 'bulk' - usually 6 - 10 at a time. The big saving is in delivery costs but most suppliers, if you call them direct, are open to a further discount as packing one big box is much less effort than packing half a dozen singles.
At the 12 - 20 level you are approaching the size of order they would expect from a small retailer so it's worth looking at their commercial pricing. Instead of bulk ordering on line, for the first time 'phone and maybe open a business account. Later re-orders go through their standard procedure whatever that is.
As a side perk, I have had a small manufacturer send me samples of exotic filaments before they are announced to the public because they know I use enough to give valid feedback and perhaps an order.
Cheerio,

Sunlu seems to spam their own deals but it got me an excellent deal of 90 euro for 10 1 kg rolls.

I started buying from GreenGate for PETG. It's really great printing stuff and I discovered they offer bulk deals. I messaged direct and the owner has been a great guy to deal with. Might be worth contacting.

I admit I had never heard of them. Checking their website, it looks like the basic price is $31.99 per 1k spool, which is really up there. For comparison, Overture is $19, Jarees $16 on Amazon. Even if I hope to get bulk pricing, I doubt I'd get a 50% discount plus free shipping. Or am I looking in the wrong place?

I get a decent discount and free shipping with a big order. I contacted them directly and asked for details of what I might get for a price. That said my #1 consideration is physical properties and consistency and not price tag since my materials go into prosthetics. I've noticed I tend to get that better with premium filaments. I guess it's a question of priorities. I also like the fact it's 100% domestic content and have found that despite being recycled it's really top shelf stuff.
