Suggestion for website error message

Not sure if this is the right place for this or not.  When attempting to add a 3mf or stl file to a post, one gets the error message "file type not permitted for security reasons".  It would be nice if the message also said to zip it up first.

+1. I don't know how many posts here need to explain that uploading a 3mf requires zipping it first. This would go a long way to reduce superfluous posts.

Or better yet, let the upload tool zip it for you.

Zip

That is the truth.  It does not matter if it is already compressed.  You need to zip it to compress it again to get it uploaded.  I guess you could change the file name, but is gonna confuse folks.

accept ALL file types supported by Prusaslicer.

You need to zip it to compress it again to get it uploaded

Isn't it easier just to rename the extension to .ZIP the end result is the same? That said the board should accept ALL file types supported by Prusaslicer.

This.

Sure, valid workaround but shouldn't be necessary. You still have to explain that to noobs, and we're not much better off than explaining to zip files.
