Strange audio noise artifact
When the printer is working there are a bunch of noises it makes at quite low levels. most are the sort that I am used to from my delta and on the whole the Prusa at it s loudest is a fraction of the sound racket the delta makes.
One of the low Prusa sounds is very annoying, it is the sound of a called phone ringing when you dial a number in the USA and it is just at the edge of hearing... and mixed in with much louder sounds from the printer; for a while I thought perhaps it was one of those subliminal sounds advertisers put in to get you to pay attention to their add but then I shut down the TV and other noise makers in the house, andit is from the printer...
Like most guys who were young in the 60s my high frequency hearing is more than a bit degraded. It is to the point when my lady friend is here and we are watching TV I have to put on captions and turn down the volume to avoid blasting here with a very loud TV. So that may be the reason, I will see if she hears this printer noise on her next weekend visit.
Re: Strange audio noise artifact
Select [Stealth] mode; most of the switcher-based motor-controller noise is eliminated and prints don't really take that much longer. I use the mode when I need quiet.
