Standard tool battery adapter project design
Hi, have more than 2 different brand tools, and i know there are out there battery adapters between brands, but you need to have lots of adapters in my case, so i was thinking, why not have an universal adapter. Something like battery to universal and universal to tool, so i can use the battery i have in all my tools, no need to have 3 or more different batteries to use each occasionally, also no problem if one dies, just use the other and no need to waste money in something that i already have and its artificially limited
I also have to mention english it's not my natal language
The point also is trying to make the most use of it and have the less number of adapters, so here are some thoughts i have
- I think a slide embed ist the less bulky connector
- For the electric connector it could be a xt60 like, so you can actually use it easyle in other cases with a self made cord to warever you need, the female always on the battery side and the male on the tool side
- There must to be a voltage compatibility lock, so you can't use tools out of the range, but and exception could also be that a 18v tool still work in a 12v battery, it just work slowly but wont burn, so also another universal 12v battery adapter to universal 18v tool
adapter 1 = makita 12v battery to universal 12v -> universal 12v to dwall 12v
adapter 2 = makita 18v battery to universal 18v -> universal 18v to dwall 18v
adapter 3 = adapter 1 -> universal 12v to universal 18v -> adapter 2
I thing this could help to make less e-waste and no need to wait to charge your battery in case you forgot to chage it or the work was longer than expected, just use the one from the other tool easyle, with a package of just some adapters, that can also stay installed because they are interchangeable between all of them.
So all your batteries for example have a to universal adapter and all your tools a from universal adapter
But a wanted it to be usefull so looking to make it in team

o i forgot, the site where the adapters are posted need to be updated with better and newer version in order to keep and grow the compatibility
