Slic3r PE problem
Hi, using slic3r 1.41.0+win64, nozzle 0.4, perimeters 5, extrusion width default
I was printing a cylinder diameter 70 mm with wall thickness 1.6 mm. This means 4 lines and the print was of good quality.
It was not strong enough so I went up to 2.0mm, 5 perimeters. The outcome was a horrible print.
I reprinted and observed what was happening. The middle perimeter was printed not in a continuous way but with spaces every several mm. I checked the layer screen in slic3c and say that the same structure with stripes / spaces and bleu lines. It had nothing to do with infill because the perimeters where >= thickness.
I moved up to 2.4 mm, 6 perimeters and all was good again, but too fat...
So I went back to 2.0 and tried to solve this. Testing with cura did not give any problems. I could not find a parameter which helped me out. I went back to fusion 360 and made the wall thickness 2.05. This time all was well again and printed with good quality.
The question is, what could I do to arrange this in the slicer and not in the designer? I would like to stay at 2.00. Is more clear/natural this way. Is this probably a rounding bug in the slicer software?
Regards,
Henk
