SL1 display life time 500h?

In the Facebook group someone said the LCD displays have 500h life time. Can someone confirm that?

OP probably means LCD panel that sits under the vat, not front LCD panel.

Those displays are consumables because they degrade very fast due to strong UV light source right underneath it and heat generated by UV lamps/diodes. General life expectancy is several hundred hours, how much is hard to say and every manufacturer has different numbers. Peopoly and Zortrax has 400 hours on theirs, while other say 700 or 1000. 500 hours is about normal and I do not have access to that section of the shop (I don't own SL1) but that number should be on their webpage as well.
