sketchy payment email

I got a email from prusa saying I didn't pay for my filament, except I did. I didn't pay, but is prusa trustworthy?

RE: sketchy payment email

I got a note a few weeks ago on a recent order saying I had not yet paid.  I knew I paid, since it was on my CC statement and the order had been received.

Examining the headers, it was a legitimate Prusa email and not from some scammer.

It turned out that it was some kind of phantom duplicate order that somehow got into the system.  They went in and cancelled the duplicate.  Yours may be something similar.

Why not ask live chat what's up directly and get a solid answer, rather than speculation by community members?

RE: sketchy payment email

Heres' what happens on the prusa web site.  They don't treat a shopping cart like a transaction that gets closed all at once.  If you have had a slow response from the credit card provider or the paypal provider when you selected pay, and you hit back, what happened is multiple payment attempts get registered as incomplete.  The logic error on their shopping cart is not checking whether a payment fully closes out all of the line items and then cancelling any other outstanding payments.

Just go to their web site (eshop above) and log in.  Then use the chat feature to tell the support person what happened, and they will cancel the outstanding unresolved payments.
