RE: Repeating pattern of the first layer
Daniel,
This forum is for users of Prusa printers, whilst some here will have experience of using Enders (either before buying a Prusa or having a collection of different types), you may get a better response from a forum focused on your make of printer.
Good luck in solving the problem!

RE: Repeating pattern of the first layer
Hi Gordon,
I have already found out the reason for the problem: Absolutely bad PID. The hotend temperature fluctuated several degrees periodically up and down. It was enough to perform a proper PID calibration. This can affect any printer.
Maybe it will help someone someday 🙂
RE: Repeating pattern of the first layer
😀 Glad you got it sorted!
RE: Repeating pattern of the first layer
Hi,
if you have the same problem (in my case the glossy and matte pattern was repeated not only in the first layer) try to calibrate the PID.
What exactly is PID:
PID stands for Proportional, Integral, and Derivative. It controls how your printer handles temperature adjustments to your hotend and heated bed. Having these parameters calibrated will ensure you have more consistent temperatures at your hotend and heated bed which can help improve print quality.
Try to calibrate according to these instructions:

Of course, layer inconsistencies can also be caused by other factors. In my case, it caused a mismatched PID.
I wish that the problem could be solved!
