RE: Recommendations for local filament suppliers
Is there a forum section where people recommend other brands of filament that are reliable?
I’m all new to this, haven’t got the printer yet, but would be good to buy more locally if possible.

Hi Paul,
there wasn't a thread for this subject, so I have moved your post to start a new thread,
As you asked in the UK Orders thread, I will assume that you are in the UK.
I was going to recommend 3DQF, however they seem to be really popular and have low stock levels at the moment https://www.3dqf.co.uk/factory-shop
Which is based in Leigh Lancashire
Filamentive is another good company.
https://www.filamentive.com/
which is based in Bradford, West Yorkshire

What about in the USA? I know there’s always Amazon, but what brands are preferred (and which are to be avoided)? I’m mostly using PLA, but might want to try PETG at some point. I’m printing on my own Mini now, but used a local makerspace (where all they allow is ABS) for a couple of years before the pandemic shut them down. So I’m newb-ish, but not a total newb. Knowing what filaments are good and where to get them are my weakest points right now, since they specified exactly what I could use there (Inland ABS, for what it’s worth). Now that I’m free to use whatever I want, what would you more experienced folks recommend?

I've put together a list of US-centric filament manufacturers & suppliers that I've used here.
