Prusaslicer claims object is defined in inches even though it is drawn in millimiters with solid edge

Hi, I have a weird issue with all objects I draw with solid edge.

I have all dimensions set in metric and when I draw the object the software is showing millimeters for the dimensions, but when I move the object to prusaslicer I get an popup saying that the object is defined in inches and if I want to change it to millimeters. I would imagine that this is an issue on solid edge side, but I can't find any settings there I should change to fix this. Any help is appreciated.

Thank you

I don't use Solid Edge so don't know, but I did see this advice offered in another forum:

  • "You need to save as .stl instead of exporting and in the save as window there will be an options button. When you click that a window pops up that will allow you to select units."

Not sure if that will help or not.

Sounds like an export issue. Check Solid Edge’s export settings to ensure it’s set to millimeters. Some formats default to inches if units aren’t specified. In PrusaSlicer, you can manually set it to millimeters during import.
