Prusament PCCF

What's with this stuff?  It must be super popular because as soon as its in stock it goes out of stock seemingly within hours.

Fortunately  I have just been able to order it again (2nd time), but that's by checking daily to see if it's in stock.  I just ordered some and it went out of stock while in my cart.  Thankfully my order still went thru, but it showed out of stock in my cart.  So it went from in stock to out of stock as I was checking out.

I'm not complaining, I just find it interesting that it's so popular.

I will add that the notify me when available option doesn't seem very effective as I've not received a notification either time I bought it.

RE:

I expect it's because a lot of  people is reprinting in PCCF some of the original PETG parts for the XL/MK4, after many reports from users having issues with these parts.  Prusa advices now to use PCCF. If you wonder why they didn't used PCCF instead of PETG  in the first place, I'm wondering too.. 🙄

Probably another factor explaining why the stock disappears so fast it's because they make small batches. Prusament PA11-CF is another filament that lasts only a few hours before it's gone again.  BTW I checked and PA11-CF it's in stock right now. If you're interested, don't wait a second to order or you'll have to wait for months.

The price of the stuff is perhaps the reason why Prusa did not print their parts with it as default before.

As to why it is so popular, just print something with it. The parts look beautiful, are very robust and it is easy to print. I can only speak for printing it in an enclosure, don't know if that is a factor for the print results, but it probably is.
