                        <content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I notice that there's still a six week lead time if you want to order one now.  It makes me wonder whether they are tweaking the design and will start shipping updated ones.  I wouldn't mind ordering a few more but I'm going to wait until it's no longer showing any lead time, just in case they are changing the design to better deal with the compatibility and usability issues discussed here.</p>]]></content:encoded>

Just a few mm more space and there wouldn't be any drag. <br /><br />All in all I'm underwhelmed with the boxes. I bought two and certainly won't buy more. Another perplexing issue is that there's no way to  rewind filament back onto the spool on unloading unless you open one of the small compartments on the side.  And you can't read the humidity while the dry box is mounted.                         <content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Yeah I think once you've put a new spool into a drybox, you need to open the little flap (where the desiccant goes in) and make sure you can still rotate the spool with your finger without too much effort.  If not, the spool doesn't fit (even if the drybox closes) so it's not worth risking it.</p><p>Now I've used the dryboxes a bit, I am surprised at the comment about the cardboard spool being tight.  It doesn't seem like the friction here would matter, but I do wonder whether the two clamshell halves of the drybox are just clamping that spool too tightly.  Probably worth measuring the depth of the central hole in the spool and confirming it's under ~72mm, or at least shaking the drybox once it's closed and confirming you can hear the spool rattle a little inside.  If there's no rattling then the spool is probably too large for the drybox.</p>]]></content:encoded>
