Prusa dont respond

Have a warranty issue but Prusa refuse to respond to emails. Anyone else have this issue?

Many threads/posts to follow until this gets fixed.

Best Answer by .:

Prusa finally responded. Took a very very long time. Email apparently went into the 'escalations' queue so they could fix the issue but then they still didnt respond. Seemed genuine in their apology. Issue now resolved. Thread closed.

Thjanks for the trolling. Happy to never use the 'prusa trolling forums' again. Zero help. 100% trolling.

I get the last say though because unsubscribing now. cheerio trolls.

RE: Prusa dont respond

I am just trying to get Prusa to respond to emails that they stopped doing a week ago. You have to admit, that is not good service!

My emails were pleasant and respectufl. It is only now that Prusa are trying to get out of their legal obligations that I am objecting and escalating and it is my right to do so if Prusa refuse to respond.

I know from my own experience here in the forum that all the people you mentioned (especially those with longer history in this forum) are not trolls. Perhaps you should reconsider your behavior, with which you present yourself here right now?

Be careful - I live in Vienna which is close to Prague - I am a troll? Who knows!

It is easy. If you want to get help, stay in the other thread, engage in a civilized manner and don't spam the forum. If you want to get banned fairly quickly, spam the forum as much as you want. What will certainly not happen is that Prusa will be blackmailed into anything just because you create spam entries in the forum. They only people you'd bother are people who are honestly looking for advice.

Keep in mind that we are not Prusa here, we are merely 3D printing hobbyists, helping each other with issues and problem solving.

Although I don't think that someone who behaves like this deserves any help but as has been noted lots of times on this board, use chat rather tan email to contact the help desk.

The 'contact us' only lists the email address. They were happy to respond within hours via email until I mentioned the printer was under a year old and they found out the board shorted while blob still attached and print had already been going for 30-60 minutes without issue. Name a person who's Einsy shorted while blob attached!

I then tried chat but they did not try to troubleshoot help once. not once. their first response was "so you broke it soe we dont have to honour warranty right?" and they repeated that line multiple times as if it is company policy to blame user for everything regardless of cause.

when they refuse to honour warranty for a faulty Einsy that blew while printing, regardless of what trolls think, and do not every try and help a single time, how do you think i should respond. posting here is what i am forced to do to get them to accept that if they dont do the right thing their reputation will suffer. Not just here but every single forum I am involved with. Stopping one person from buying a prusa will cost them more than it costs to replace their $5 Einsy that they charge $120 for

RE: Prusa dont respond

I'm curious where the $5 figure for an Einsy comes from ?  Do you have some form of insider knowledge on what they cost.  Even on Aliexpress they are currently $72

Btw I do think you are being an arse in your attitude but your behaviour is up to you.  You aren't making any friends though so even if you get a replacement board I hope you don't have any other problems in future.

Thing you have to remember is that even the forum moderators here don't work for Prusa, all except a couple of people, and that everyone who has responded so far is just a random person.

Cue being called a troll in 3..2..1..

RE: Prusa dont respond

I have tried the nice approach and they ignore emails etc for weeks. What else do you suggest? These posts aren't designed for you or anyone else to respond to, they are designed to make them have the respect to answer emails. Everyone else in the world can do it. You see me do this and assume it is spontaneous. This is the result of weeks of frustration. Put yourself in my shoes. Btw, Prusa make the Einsy board. $72 from Aliexpress is either a dodgy chinese knock-off that you wouldn't want to use or is Prusa selling through Aliexpress at a carzy high premium but lower than their rip-off site. I haven't seen those on there so couldn't tell you (and not going to look for obvious reasons that I stated). I buy a lot from aliexpress (i.e. anything else Prusa try to sell at huge markup) but no choice on einsy (Rambo) unfortunately. I just wish the board was more affordable or made higher quality.

Either way, I have designed and created plenty of components and also had them made like they do. The parts on the board are very very very cheap. Maybe $6 worth but certainly not $115

By the way neophyl, do you realise all you did is what everyone else does... you criticise me but offer zero assistance. How is anything you wrote helpful in any way. So, yes, a troll.

That is where my attitude comes from. From my very first post I have had nothing but criticism. You can't expect someone to have a good attitude when everyone offers no help ever just criticism always. Before arguing, go back and look. That is the difference between the "trolling Prusa forums" and reputable forums. I am only on here to get prusa to fulfil their obligation and then I go back to the good / helpful / beneficial forums. Argue all you want. Troll all you want but nothing will change until prusa fix the issue.

Argue back and I keep arguing. no problem.

RE: Prusa dont respond

So if you happen to know that an Einsy board can be made for $5, why don't you just go ahead and do it by yourself? The design is open, and you could make a small fortune when you make them for $5 and sell for $50. The time you invested in the forum here seems to be worth much more than $5...

(But be aware with fakes, a real ATMega2560 is currently about $15 in 1000 quantity when bought directly from Microchip)

Just today the prusa site has changed to make it independent of the name "prusa".

What better occasion to show Mr. Josè that his printers can also work with pieces bought anywhere and at a lower price? Free your soul maker and replace the board, do all the configurations of the case and you will see that maybe you will print even better.

DISCLAIMER:

I am not and will never be an employee of Prusa Research unless they offer me 100K € gross per year. I have friends who built the printer starting from a wooden frame ... that says a lot.

RE: Prusa dont respond

As I stated in my initial reply I was satisfying my curiosity on your cost evaluation.  As I don't have a spare board to offer you, or another way to offer 'concrete' assistance what would you suggest ?

Yes I criticised your behaviour as to those viewing you are acting like a petulant toddler.   However the internet seems to be full of those so I guess the rest of us have to put up with it.  You call other people trolls but ALL you have done since posting is act like one yourself.  Going on to posts by others actually looking for community assistance and posting useless replies just so you can bully Prusa into giving you a new board.

If you have a grievance and if they aren't responding to you then contact the relevant business over sight authorities.  In the UK this would be trading standards.  Check if there is a similar body in Prusa's jurisdiction.  Or see if your local countries equivalent can help you out.

@DontBuyPrusa: I'm not looking for a job in prusa, I already have one that satisfies me, what I want you to understand is:

1) you broke our balls

2) you broke our balls

3) you broke our balls

4) one topic is enough to discuss any shortcomings of the company that built the printer you are trying to use.

5) I built the printer myself and I solve all the problems myself

the only thing I agree with you on is your nickname, we are makers not consumers.

Just today the prusa site has changed to make it independent of the name "prusa".

Jo's name is still prominently displayed. I think they're just trying to make the site independent of the Prusa printer line, which makes sense.

What better occasion to show Mr. Josè that his printers can also work with pieces bought anywhere and at a lower price? Free your soul maker and replace the board, do all the configurations of the case and you will see that maybe you will print even better.

Most of the parts are sourced from other manufacturers. Just be aware that some parts are not standard E3D dimensions. The cables for the thermistor and heater cartridge are different for Prusa versions of the E3D parts. I've used a number of non-Prusa, non-E3D parts and they work just fine. I have found that the really cheap replacements (e.g., AliExpress) sometimes suffer from finish problems. There are some really bad nozzles and heatbreaks. TriangleLab makes some nice nozzles and hotend components if you're looking for cheaper but still good quality parts.
